The house
A stone house steeped in history, where the charm of tradition meets modern comfort, in the quiet heart of the Carnic Dolomites.
A journey through time
On the slopes of the Carnic Dolomites, where time seems to stand still, lies an oasis of peace and history: a stone house steeped in centuries of history, carefully restored by our family to offer you a unique, unforgettable experience.
Step through the door and you'll find yourself immersed in a timeless atmosphere, where the charm of tradition meets modern comfort. On the ground floor, the kitchen opens onto the dining room with its distinctive wooden corner bench, ready to welcome you with genuine dishes made from local produce; across the hallway, the living room, warmed by the pellet stove, becomes the heart of the house — the place to gather after a day among woods and trails.

Warm, welcoming bedrooms
Upstairs, the quiet of the night settles over three bedrooms furnished down to the smallest detail, with exposed wooden beams and, from one of the windows, a clear view straight to Monte Zoncolan. The double with its king-size bed, the cosier French-style double, and the twin room made for travelling together: each room has its own character, but the same promise — a slow waking, after nights as deep as only mountain air can give. A second bathroom and a laundry room complete the floor, discreet presences, there exactly when you need them.

What our guests say
“A house with the charm of yesteryear. Space and tranquility reign supreme. We had a very good time.”
“We had a wonderful week at the house. Plenty of space for us and the kids and a good feeling of home.”
“At Roberto's in Sostasio, time stands still and the body breathes deeply again. The house and the village envelop the guests, gently cradling them, making the stay a joyful melody. A cathartic experience for the soul of those who experience it. A must-have.”
A step back in time, with a touch of modern comfort

Steeped in history, the house still holds on to many of its original features, which our family chose to preserve during the restoration: the “spolerta” (a traditional wood-fired oven), the old masonry stove, the original low doorways, still marked by the smoke from when cured meats were smoked on the ground floor. Small signs of those who lived here before you.
The wooden elements you'll find around the house, the exposed beams, the parquet floors, carry the mark of carpenters in the family. The stone walls, built thick in the old style, keep the house naturally cool even during the hottest weeks of summer, no air conditioning needed.
And yet the house hasn't stopped in the past: independent heating, free Wi-Fi, TV, dishwasher, and everything you need to simply feel at home, today just as then.
